Measles Epidemic Curve (EpiCurve) of Cases, Deaths, and CFR in African Countries
The Measles Epidemic Curve (EpiCurve) provides a dynamic visualization of the temporal progression of cases, deaths, and the case fatality rate (CFR%) over time in various African countries from first week of 2024 as of 2 February of 2025. By analyzing this curve, we gain insights into the severity, peaks, and patterns of measles outbreaks across different regions.

Measles CFR Forest Plot in African Countries
The Measles Case Fatality Rate (CFR) Forest Plot provides a comparative analysis of the cumulative CFR (%) and its confidence intervals (95% CI) across different African countries and subregions. The objective is to assess the severity of measles outbreaks by examining the proportion of reported cases that resulted in death.
The Measles CFR Forest Plot for African countries provides a crucial epidemiological snapshot of measles-related mortality. The disparities in CFR indicate that outbreak severity is not uniform across the continent, and context-specific interventions are needed to reduce measles-related deaths. Strengthening vaccination programs, outbreak preparedness, and early case detection will be key in lowering CFRs and mitigating future outbreaks.
